On April 11, 2020, Parliament passed the legislation which implements the Canada Emergency Wage Subsidy, a 75% wage subsidy for eligible employers impacted by COVID-19. The legislation contains a series of rules for determining whether an employer is eligible, the revenue decrease that must be demonstrated for the employer to qualify and the employees for which the subsidy is available.
