MLT Aikins lawyers, Scott Bell and Jessica Jensen are pleased to present a one-hour webinar, “International Tourism and Foreign Worker Considerations for the Outdoor Adventure, Hospitality, and Outfitting Industries Under COVID-19”.

International tourism to Canada forms a significant part of Canada’s economy. Outdoor adventure tour operators, the hospitality industry, and outfitters rely on foreign nationals coming to Canada as customers or guests. These industries also rely on foreign nationals to form an important part of their work force in Canada. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, these industries are seeing an overall reduction in international tourism coming to Canada and reduced access to foreign workers. This presentation will focus on rules and regulations regarding Canada’s travel restrictions and self-isolation requirements will be reviewed in relation to international tourism and foreign worker access.

On The Agenda:

  • International tourist travel restrictions and when travel is possible
  • Issues with self-isolation and quarantine
  • Foreign Worker access under COVID-19 restrictions
